The inaugural CIEF Design Build Competition® in Las Vegas brought together talented students, industry professionals, and sponsors for an exciting day of hands-on learning and competition. High school teams from across the Las Vegas area spent months preparing for the event—developing designs, creating construction documents, and practicing their builds. On competition day, those plans came to life as students worked together to construct full-scale structures while demonstrating teamwork, craftsmanship, and problem-solving skills. Students were evaluated on design accuracy, safety and health compliance, teamwork, and the successful completion of their structures. The People’s Choice Award allows the community to vote for their favorite structure built during the competition. Voting is open now and will close Friday at 10:00 AM PST.
