Chartered in 2024, the CIEF Central Texas is dedicated to building the future workforce of the construction industry. Guided by a board of industry leaders, the Chapter connects students with career opportunities through hands-on learning, workforce development initiatives, and signature programs such as Trades Day and the Design-Build Competition. By fostering relationships between students, educators, and construction professionals, the Chapter helps create pathways to successful careers in the built environment.

The CIEF Central Texas Design-Build Competition gives high school students a unique opportunity to experience the construction industry through hands-on learning and teamwork. During this two-day event, student teams collaborate to design and construct a small-scale structure while applying real-world principles of architecture, engineering, safety, project management, and construction. Guided by industry professionals, participants develop valuable technical and leadership skills while exploring exciting career opportunities in the built environment.
