Karen has nearly 25 years of experience in the A/E/C industry, working her way up through the ranks from a receptionist/marketing coordinator at a 10-person architect firm to her current role as the Sacramento Business Development Director for The Boldt Company, a national general contractor. During Karen’s career and raising a family, she obtained various certifications to deepen her knowledge of the industry including, CPSM, LEED AP and her Associate DBIA. Karen remains active in professional and community organizations where she has held various committee and Board positions as well as mentored junior marketers.

Kimberly Cook is the Director of Corporate Development with Lancaster Burns Construction, Inc. and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the W.P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University.
She has been in the construction industry for over 15 years and has held multiple positions within the subcontractor space, from Sales Estimator to Pre-Construction Coordinator. She joined LB 11 years ago as the estimating coordinator and has since continued to engage in and grow her knowledge in other areas of the business. Her current role allows her to utilize both her construction experience, as well as the business concepts learned in college to help guide the corporate strategy of the organization. Kimberly serves on the Sacramento Regional Builders Exchanges (SRBX) Government Affairs Committee and is also a member of NAWIC Chapter 63

Donata Gilliland is Director of Marketing for Flint Builders, a general contractor with focus on alternative delivery in K-12, higher education and healthcare markets. Donata’s 15+ years in the AEC industry includes experience in engineering and architecture but she has found her true love working in construction where all disciplines come together to bring to life facilities that impact our communities. Donata is a Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM), a past President of the Sacramento Chapter of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) and currently volunteers for the Chapter’s Senior Marketing Leaders group. She loves to mentor women and has been fortunate to have mentors in her life that made a huge impact, one of those being her grandmother. Donata’s young life was highly influenced by her Lithuanian grandmother who had a conviction that anything was possible through access to education, especially for girls and women.

Her primary objective is to work with clients to establish viable program and project objectives, and to manage the resources necessary to successfully accomplish those goals. Marsha earned a bachelor’s degree in community development from the University of California, Davis, and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of San Francisco.
