The CREATE® Competition is a 10-week project in which students will:
- Work with various mentors from the engineering, architecture, trades and construction industry to simulate the comprehensive process of planning, designing, and building a structure
- Participate in hands-on trades based projects
- Visit active jobsites
- Gain hard and soft skills including computer software programming, scale modeling, public speaking, and project management
- Attend the annual competition/awards banquet to present their projects against other participating schools from California.

CREATE® SCHOLARSHIP
Seniors pursuing a career in the built environment (architecture, engineering, construction management, or the trades) through direct hire, apprenticeship programs or post-secondary education including two and four-year universities are eligible to apply for the CREATE Mentoring Program Scholarship through November 1, 2024.
CIEF SUMMER CAMP SCHOLARSHIP
Current sophomores and juniors in the 2024-2025 school year are eligible to apply for a $1,250 scholarship toward attending the 2025 CIEF Summer Camp (to be hosted June 2025). The CIEF Summer Camp is a five-day, four-night program that introduces students to careers in construction, re-development, engineering, architecture and the trades. Students will design and build a project for a local nonprofit, complete a needs assessment, meet industry executives, tour active job sites, explore Sacramento and San Francisco, and stay at CSU, Sacramento.
CIEF Summer Camp Scholarship Applications are due November 22, 2024 to be awarded on December 3rd during the CREATE® Awards Lunch.
